My Hometown.

 

There is always a place one likes to call home. All of us have childhood memories in our hometowns. Although  people travel to many places, their favorite place is their hometown. All these make us give it more importance than the rest.

so, here I will be describing my hometown. 


 My Hometown is Dehiaththakandiya. It is a small town where I was born and grew up in childhood. It is situated in Ampara District of Eastern Province, Srilanka. I have lovely memories of my childhood in my hometown. 

I think Dehiaththakandiya is a great place for me for many reasons. It has low rainfall and there are long hot season. It is generally a warm city. So I like this climate.


 Dehiaththakandiya is very fertile. The people in my hometown growing crops that are important to other contries. We groe different types of crops like rice and we grow different types of vegetables and fruits. 



 There are many tourists attraction places near to my hometown. Wasgamuwa National park, Maduruoya National park, Passikudah beach are some of them. 


There is a lot of temples in my hometown. Henanigala Raja Maha Viharaya is the special temple in Dehiaththakandiya. Henanigala Raja Maha Viharaya is a temple complex believed to be one of the 64 temples build by king Kawanthissa. It is a very valuable and historical temple in srilanka. 

There are lot of my childhood memories in my hometown. So the place I like most is my hometown. I invite my friends to visit my hometown.

  My favorite Vegetable  My favorite  vegetable is  a carrot . Carrot is the most versatile vegetable in the world. Thousands of dishes both sweet and savory  can be prepared with carrots. I love carrots because I can make any snack with it within minutes. Carrot is a healthy vegetable. It is crunchy, tasty, and highly nutritious. Carrots are a particularly good source of beta carotene, fiber, vitamin K1, potassium, and antioxidants . They also have a number of health benefits. They’re a weight-loss-friendly food and have been linked to lower cholesterol levels and improved eye health. What’s more, their carotene antioxidants have been linked to a reduced risk of cancer.   The  carrot  is a  root vegetable, typically orange in color, though purple, black, red, white, and yellow. Orange carrots get their bright color from beta carotene, an antioxidant that your body converts into vitamin A.

  A country is a region that we live on. My homeland is Sri Lanka. Because it is a pearl found in the Indian Ocean, it is known as “the Pearl of the Indian Ocean.” Sri Lanka is an Asian country.
